Terms of Service

By installing PixelCloak, creating an account, or purchasing a license, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

PixelCloak is a Chrome extension that captures browser screenshots, detects sensitive information using on-device processing, and allows you to redact that information before sharing. All image processing happens locally — no screenshot data is transmitted to our servers.

We also provide a web application for account and license management.

PixelCloak Pro is licensed, not sold. When you purchase a Pro license, you receive a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the extension on up to three devices.

• One-time payment: Your Pro license is a lifetime license. There is no subscription or recurring charge.
• Device limit: You may activate your license on up to 3 devices simultaneously. Activating on a 4th device automatically deactivates the oldest device — no action is required from you.
• Personal use: Licenses are for individual use only. You may not share, sell, or transfer your license key to another person.

The free tier of PixelCloak allows up to 5 screenshot exports per day. Daily limits reset at midnight local time. Usage counts are tracked locally on your device.

The extension periodically contacts our servers to verify your license status. This verification uses a hashed device identifier and an activation token — no personal data or screenshot content is transmitted. You can use Pro features for up to 7 days without internet connectivity.

You agree not to:

• Reverse engineer, decompile, or modify the extension
• Attempt to bypass device limits or license verification
• Share, resell, or redistribute your license key
• Use the service for any illegal purpose
• Use the service to harm or deceive others

PixelCloak and all associated intellectual property are owned by PixelCloak. Nothing in these terms grants you ownership of or rights to the software beyond the license described above.

PixelCloak is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We do not warrant that the extension will detect all sensitive information in every screenshot. You are responsible for reviewing redacted content before sharing.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, PixelCloak is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including any data breach or accidental disclosure of sensitive information.

All sales are final. PixelCloak offers a free tier so you can evaluate the product before purchasing. See our Refund Policy for details on limited exceptions (duplicate charges, failed deliveries).

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of PixelCloak after changes are posted constitutes acceptance. We will notify you of significant changes by email where possible.
